Chair: Armen Apanian

Senior – Class of 2026

Dias: Mousegh Jurukian & Aram Jurukian

My name is Armen Apanian, and I am honored to serve as your Chair for the General Assembly. I am currently a senior at Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School, where I am deeply involved in leadership, civic engagement, and community service.

My journey with Model United Nations did not begin immediately. I was initially involved in the Junior State of America, but during my sophomore year, I discovered MUN and quickly found that it aligned far more closely with my interests in diplomacy, global affairs, and institutional problem-solving. Since then, MUN has become a defining part of my academic life. I currently serve as President of Pilibos Model United Nations, where I work to elevate the program’s rigor, professionalism, and educational impact. Through MUN, I have developed a strong appreciation for collaboration, structured debate, and principled leadership.

Service has always been central to who I am. I have completed over 2,000 hours of volunteer work through scouting, education, and community organizations. I am an Eagle Scout, Scoutmaster of Homenetmen Glendale Ararat Chapter’s Troop 153, and Chairperson of the Homenetmen Ararat Chapter’s Educational Committee. These roles have shaped my belief that leadership is rooted in responsibility, preparation, and service to others.

I am excited to see the ideas and solutions you bring to the committee, and I look forward to an engaging and rewarding conference.
