Dias: Armen Sassouni & Amanda Hogtanian
Hello, my name is Aram Nercessian. I am a senior in the Class of 2026 at Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School, and I am deeply excited about this opportunity to serve as chair of the ECOSOC Committee of ModelUN. I have strong academic and leadership interests in psychology, neuroscience, and cognitive sciences, and am the founder of Truth in Wellness, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mental-wellness education and advocacy, where I lead student-driven workshops and collaborate with community organizations to reduce stigma surrounding mental health. Through this work, I have combined research and public engagement to create a meaningful impact
I am also deeply involved in the Model United Nations, where we can discuss global issues through the lens of diplomacy, negotiation, and policy-making. This interest began from a passion for cross-cultural dialogue and finding collaborative solutions to complex international challenges.
In addition, I am a dedicated musician, having studied piano for over a decade and violin for several years. Music serves as both a creative outlet and a source of discipline, shaping my approach to life. I hope to pursue a college education at the University of Notre Dame and integrate scientific research, global affairs, and service-driven leadership.
