Chair: Haig Kendirjian
Senior – Class of 2026
Dias: Luna Balian & Alique Bardakian
My name is Haig, and I am honored to serve as your Chair for DISEC. I am currently a senior at Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School, where I also serve as Vice President of Model UN and am involved in academic and community activities.
My academic interests are rooted in understanding how creativity, research, and service can intersect to create meaningful impact. I have always been drawn to projects that allow me to think critically while also finding ways to support and uplift others. Over time, this mindset has shaped the way I approach leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving.
I believe strongly in the value of thoughtful dialogue, respectful debate, and principled decision-making. These values guide how I interact with peers and how I contribute to group efforts. I strive to create environments that encourage open communication, curiosity, and mutual respect.
Service has also played an important role in shaping who I am. Through various volunteer and leadership experiences, I have learned that leadership is not about authority, but about responsibility, consistency, and care for the communities around us. I aim to lead by example, remaining organized, prepared, and supportive of those I work with.
I am excited to hear your ideas, engage in meaningful discussion, and help foster a productive and enriching committee experience.
